I never really did jump on the #TBT bandwagon, but when it gives me an excuse (not that I need one) to go back and revisit all the incredible stories I have been able to capture, I.AM.ALL.IN.  So in tribute to this little known phenomenon, I give you a #TBT series of my own.  I am fully convinced that nobody can get enough Nick & Lindsey…and it’s pretty obvious why.  In case you need a refresher on who these to immensely fabulous humans are check out their super beautiful country wedding and as if that wasn’t enough awesomeness; they went ahead and created one of the raddest little human’s this side of the sun!  As I have said before, these two are the ULTIMATE in friendship and human kind in general.  I will never forget the first time I met Nick.  It had been ages since I had seen Lindsey and a dinner party was way overdue.  Newly engaged myself at the time, I OF COURSE wanted to show off the goods to my fantastic friend and relive all the details; so when Lindsey asked if we could make it a double date with her new “boyfriend” I was clearly ecstatic.  Not because she had a boyfriend mind you, but because of the way her voice changed when she said the word…I could actually see her face light up through the phone.  I had never seen anyone make my friend laugh the way she laughs when she is with him.  It’s real, it’s genuine and it’s that straight from your soul kind of laughter that when you experience it, you just want to bottle it up for those not so awesome days in life.  I love photographing these two (now three).  Every time they get in front of my camera, it’s real life.  Nothing posed, just real unadulterated, no excuses, beautiful life…It’s my absolute favorite.2.25.12_Rizzo_Engagement_0001 2.25.12_Rizzo_Engagement_0021 2.25.12_Rizzo_Engagement_0002I must also pay tribute to Karma, she is and always will be one of the most spectacular dogs this earth has ever known.  I have never been an animal person.  It’s not that I don’t like them, they were just never part of my life growing up so I don’t exactly understand that bond that exists between people and their pets.  We never had a family pet, but OH.THIS.DOG.  If there ever was an animal that made you want to be a better person, she is it.  She is deeply missed and I am gentler soul because I had the honor of knowing her.  Being able to go back and see her face is a reminder of why I do what I do and I love WHY I do it.  You will always hear me say and see me write that photography is the ONLY time machine we have.  If we live our lives unabashedly in front of a camera lens from time to time, we will ALWAYS be able to go back to the moments that make us laugh, cry (even the ugly cries) and appreciate where we were and just how far we come.2.25.12_Rizzo_Engagement_0005 2.25.12_Rizzo_Engagement_0026see what I mean about that smile Nick puts on Lindsey’s face…
